Holt in Norfolk is a pretty Georgian town.

The nearest town to Gresham’s is Holt and is a five-ten minute flat walk from Gresham’s School. It is a joy to amble around, full of independent shops and cafes, wine bars, pubs, tea rooms, galleries and antique shops. It has many gorgeous Georgian facades, flint stone buildings and yards. These are some of the yards you will find as you wander around the town; Chapel Yard in Albert street, Hoppers Yard in Bull Street, Appleyard off the High Street and Lees Yard behind the main car park. The town has created a trail called The Holt Owl Trail which takes you in a circular loop following 24 informative plaques on the history of each building, monument, sign, street, clock and so on.

About a 5 minute drive from Holt is Holt Country Park. It’s a lovely woodland and heathland area with colour coded walks to suit everyone, including cyclists and dogs! Spout Hills is even closer to Holt and is a lovely 14 acre common.

North Norfolk enjoys a diverse landscape with its stunning beaches, picturesque countryside and its natural surroundings are a haven for a wide variety of wildlife. It is a popular destination for bird watching and seal spotting along its unspoilt coast.
